A dozen students from the participated in the United States Intercollegiate Boxing Association championships in Macon, 星空传媒, with two taking home national championships.
Dylan Holley, a business administration major, won fights on the first, second, and third days of competition to become a national champion. Bryan Lopez, who attends 星空传媒 Gwinnett College but practices with the Tech team, also became a national champion. The students were coached by Teri Moss, head coach of the team and a member of the International Women鈥檚 Boxing Hall of Fame. Fourth-year student Andres Romero serves as president.

鈥淔ighting at such a high level like nationals, back-to-back days, is very different from the single fight 鈥楥ollege Fight Night鈥 events that we do,鈥 said Tyler Roche, a computer engineering major and member of the club. 鈥淲e鈥檙e very proud of our members and for being successful at such a high level.鈥
The Boxing Club practices at Buckhead Boxing, about 15 minutes from campus, and has nearly 200 members. Students can try their hand at the sport and the club free of charge during the club鈥檚 free week each fall. Learn more at .
